Types of Car Insurance

There are three types of insurance that is generally needed in the UK for your vehicle. These are as follows:
Third Party Insurance
This basically covers any costs for damage and injury other than yours in the case of an accident. Meaning in the event of an accident your insurance will pay for the damage of the other person/persons car as well as their medical bills and those of your passengers but will not cover costs to your own injuries or repairs to your car.
Fire and Theft Insurance
This covers the costs in the case that your vehicle sets on fire or is stolen.
Comprehensive Car Insurance Cover
A comprehensive car insurance policy will basically pay out for any costs incurred in the event of an accident regardless of who is at fault. This means that any medical and repair costs that result in an accident involving your vehicle will be covered by a “fully comprehensive” policy. At the same time your policy will also pay out in the event that your vehicle sets fire or is stolen.
