Common Characteristics of the Vintage Car
The vintage era is distinguished by the general design and technology
of cars from that period. This is the time when cars were no longer
like its predecessors, the large vehicles from the brass era known as
'horseless carriages'.
Cars produced at this time mostly had their engines in the front.
Manufacturers also standardized the controls in the car. Much development
was also made on the engines. The most significant of engines produced
in that era, is the powerful V-16 engine for the high-end car lovers
with deep pockets.
During this period, cars were mostly closed-bodied and sported stylish
designs.
