Improvements during the Vintage Era
There were many changes made to the cars during this era. Four-wheel
braking by depressing a single foot pedal was one of the new technologies
to be built into the car, so were hydraulic brakes. Another technological
innovation made in that era is power steering, making it easier for
the driver on the road. Antifreeze was also introduced to car engines,
enabling water-cooled cars to be used even through winter.
There were also several other improvements made to the car to increase
the general comfort and ease of the driver and its passengers. Such
improvements were car heating, as well as the in-car radio.
Cars in the vintage era were more practical, convenient and comfortable.
Because of the many innovations and improvements made for the driver's
comfort and easier maintenance, the cars becoming increasingly common
and widely used.
